Characteristics of research conducted in the laboratory:
In the wide spectrum of research work undertaken, the main issues focus on the implementation of robotic systems in tasks requiring interaction with the environment, e.g. systems with force control, systems with visual feedback, systems with 3D scanners. The aim of the undertaken works is, apart from developing the process, its multi-criteria optimization, in which the objective function concerns the minimization of time, vibrations and tool wear. The undertaken issues are solved with the use of modern tools containing elements of machine intelligence (neural networks, fuzzy logic, genetic algorithms).
Specification of the main research equipment of the laboratory:
- A robotic station equipped with an ABB IRB140 robot with the option of force control and an IRB 1600 robot equipped with a GOM scanning head.
- IRBP A250 positioner
- SICK vision system
- Security system, curtains, bolt locks
- Tool changer
List of service and research works for the industrial environment that can be carried out in the laboratory
- Development of robotic technologies using force control, dedicated in particular to milling along the edges of the workpiece, removing casting excess, removing unevenly distributed excess material after casting, grinding turbines, propeller blades, grinding and polishing aluminum assemblies.
- Development of robotic technologies dedicated to confectioning operations carried out with the use of vision systems. In particular, dedicated to the food industry.
- Development of robotic inspection systems using 3D scanning. Preparation of dedicated measurement reports.
